Studied technique with Maria Glimcher, Melanie Bales, Meghan Durham-Wall, Courtney Harris, Karl Rogers, Jessica Zeller, Valarie Williams, Olivier Tarpaga, Ashley Doyle-Lucas, Blake Beardsley, Esther Baker-Tarpaga, Bebe Miller, Eric Nordstrom, Noa Zuk, Ohad Fishof, Abby Zbikowski, Ellie Carter, and Jimmy Ortiz.

Summer 2013. American Dance Festival: Full time student in six week program; Studied with Ming Yang and Jesse Zaritt.

Summer 2011. Bates Dance Festival. Full time student in three week program; studied with Nancy Stark Smith, Onye Ozuzu, and Andre Tyson.

Summer 2008-2012. Asociación Nacional de Grupos Folklóricos. Full time student at week-long conference; Studied regional dances from Nayarit, Querétaro, Coahuila, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Tamaulipas, Jalisco, Chihuahua, Veracruz, Sonora, and Michoacan.

2005-2010. Teen Dance Company of the Bay Area (TDC). Conservatory-style training with emphasis in modern and ballet under artistic directors Heather Cooper, Carlos Jones, and Mark Foehringer; Participated in two concerts and various community performances every year and the student choreography project in 2010.

2000-2010. Folklórico Nacional Mexicano (Juvenil). Studied and performed regional dances from Jalisco, Veracruz, Tierra Caliente, Michoacan, Baja California, Guerrero, Nayarit, Tamaulipas, and Yucatan under artistic director Elena Robles.

Teaching

2015 – Present. Van Der Zwaan Dance Studio. Modern/Contemporary Dance, Ballet, and Ballet Folklórico instructor. Students ages 8-13.

2015-2016. The Beat. Ballet Folklórico instructor.

2009-2014. Folklórico Nacional Mexicano (Juvenil). Guest teacher and rehearsal director for the main performance ensemble.

2008 – 2010. Mountain View High School. T.A. for Beginning Jazz Dance course and guest teacher for Advanced Jazz Dance course; Choreographed and taught class routines for both courses.

2014-2017. SAFEhouse For the Performing Arts RAW residency program. Completed four choreographic residencies, each culminating in a contemporary dance performance produced in San Francisco, CA.

2015. Shawl-Anderson Dance Center AIR hourly residency. Awarded for collaborative project Mudanza Discorde, focusing on the fusion of Ballet Folklórico Mexicano and Contemporary/Modern Dance.

2014. Vera J. Blaine Special Projects Fund. Awarded for the completion of BFA senior project.

2010-2014. National Buckeye Scholarship, Morrill Prominence Scholarship, Distinguished Merit Scholarship, OSU Dance Scholarship.

2010. YoungArts Merit Award in the World Dance category (for Ballet Folklórico featuring Son Jarocho zapateado).

2010. Recognized by College Board’s National Hispanic Recognition Program.

2010. Became a Lifetime member of the California Scholarship Federation.
