Muffled Corners is a presentation of contemporary dance produced by Slick Babble Dance Project. A family-friendly buffet of short dance pieces, this performance will feature three new dance works by Emmeline Gonzalez-Beban alongside choreography by special guests Amelia Eisen and Kim Ip. These featured works explore Gonzalez-Beban’s choreographic philosophy through different lenses that range from the absurd realities of multiverse theory to the fiery physical expressions of the oppressed body.
Slick Babble Dance Project premiered its first evening-length dance work, “Us, Fumbling” on February 24th-25th, 2016 at SAFEhouse Arts!
Us, Fumbling was choreographed by Emmeline Gonzalez-Beban, and features performers Colette Bakke, Nathan Forster, Aimee K. Heslop, Michael D. Lee, and Erica Pinigis.

On December 13th, 2014, I had the privilege of participating in a dance performance event curated by SALTA Collective, SALTA is Short & Sweet. For this event, over 20 dance/art/performance-makers were challenged to create a piece specifically for the event that was 3 minutes or less.
I presented a 3 minute duet improvisation score with Lauren Bedal, entitled “Me, walking away“. Our improvisation was centered on us interacting with a particularly bossy sound score created by yours truly. Check out the hyperlink above for more information about SALTA and the events they curate!

At the end of October, I premiered a new dance work at The Garage in San Francisco entitled “Because Poems Are Not Pies (or something like that).” The work was created as part of RAW (Resident Artist Workshop). Excerpts are now up on my vimeo channel! Check it out!
I finally got around to uploading video from my senior project! This solo was commissioned by Tammy Carrasco as part of my senior project for The Ohio State University Department of Dance. The project supported my focus in Performance within the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. It was performed in the OSU Dance Winter Concert: RE: flect⎜peat⎜dact⎜start from February 28th-March 1st, 2014 at BalletMet Performance Space.
In the Fall of 2012, I had the opportunity to learn sound design basics from Michael Wall, a prominent musician and composer for dance. You can hear my sound designs (originally created for videos of choreography) on SoundCloud.
